KYBELLA® is administered as a series of injections to the treatment area under the chin, destroying fat cells and producing gradual results. Everyone’s chin profile is different, so your physician will tailor*treatment to you. The number of treatment sessions will vary based on the amount of fat under the chin and your treatment goals.
How Kybella® Works
The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When KYBELLA® is injected into the fat beneath the chin, it destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once these fat cells are destroyed, they can no longer store or accumulate more fat, therefore once you reach your goal no further treatment ought to be necessary.
Individualized Treatment Plans
Every person and every face is different. Our aestheticians and medical practitioners will tailor a Kybella® treatment plan that is perfect for your face and your goals.
Once your plan is in place, at each session you will be given multiple small injections under your chin. Depending on your particular needs and goals, you may receive up to 6 treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart. Typically patients see noticable results within 2 to 4 Kybella® treatment sessions.
